  1. Fabrice Jaumont

A musical journey through immigration and integration. Marimba tells the story of a family from Chiapas who travels through Latin America before arriving in California where they begin to create a new home and live the American Dream. This picture book stands out, not only because it follows an immigrant family’s journey but also because it is bilingual: reading the story in both English and Spanish, readers will also be able to delight in rhythmic prose that sings as much as it reads.
