TBR Books Submission Guidelines

Welcome to TBR Books, a program of the Center for the Advancement of Languages, Education, and Communities (CALEC), a non-profit organization based in New York. Our focus is on publishing groundbreaking works by researchers and practitioners that speak to our mission of empowering multilingual families and linguistic communities through education, knowledge, and advocacy.

TBR Books is currently accepting submissions and we are dedicated to exploring un-agented manuscripts and proposals that align with our goals. We publish a diverse range of genres, including fiction, non-fiction, art, and picture books, and we’re particularly interested in works that contribute to the dialogue on education, languages, cultural history, and social initiatives.

– Contact Information: Ensure your submission includes full contact details — name, address, email, and phone number — to facilitate straightforward communication.
– Manuscript Format: Attach your manuscript as a Microsoft WORD document. If your file exceeds 8MB, please use Dropbox or WeTransfer to send us the file.
– Additional Materials: Alongside your manuscript, include both a short and a long description of your book, a brief author biography, and any endorsements or praises the work has received if applicable.
– Submission Email: Please send your complete submission package to editor(at) tbr-books.org

Review Process:

– Receipt Confirmation: You will receive an email acknowledging the receipt of your submission.
